2016 Concerts

Buddy Guy with Jimmie Vaughan and the Tilt-A-Whirl band in April.

Doesn't look like I can make it to any Ween shows in NYC.

Jason Isbell added a second night at the Taft in Cinci, so I snagged another pair of tickets this morning... center orchestra, sixth row. That's the closest to the stage I've been able to snag since I saw him in a tiny club in Columbus, right when Southeastern came out.

Bastard!

Well at least I will be seeing DBT Saturday night at the 9:30 Club. I already have my ear plugs in the car for that one.

Skipped The Who concert on Tuesday.

With everyone freaking out about the weather, it's more than likely that we wouldn't have made it there if we tried.
Lots of accidents on the highway in to (and out of) Toronto would have made traffic impossible to get through in time.

The wife wants to go see Ray LaMontagne in June. It's rare that we both dig the same artists, so I'm looking forward to that. Some others have popped up on my radar. Probably going to see Brian Wilson do Pet Sounds in September. Also considering going to see Weird Al. :)

Ray is playing at Wolftrap this summer and it looks like My Morning Jacket is his touring band. If the rest of that album sounds like the first song he released from it, I may have to go.

I just checked Wolftrap last week and they didn't have the schedule up yet, but I see they do now.

I wanna see
- Barenaked Ladies
- Lake Street Dive
- Ray
- Flight of the Concords
- Harry Connick
- Paul Simon
- Tedeschi Trucks Band
- Sufjan Stevens
- Lovett and Harris
- Leon and Lianne

I know the wife won't go for Tedeschi Trucks since we've seen and likely not Simon since I've seen him. She doesn't know Sufjan, Lovett, or Flight...

So BNL, LaMontagne, Lake Street, and Connick are the most likely, but she did really like Leon Bridges when I played her his album.

Why I can't I be independently wealthy?!? I blame my parents.

That'll be four shows this year. And he hasn't even announced Ryman dates. :embarrassed:
