This 1969 Dodge Super Bee is the genuine article, a true WM21 code car factory equipped with the 440/375 HP Magnum V-8 engine and Hurst Pistol Grip-shifted heavy duty 4-speed manual transmission. Festooned in bright Yellow with Black accents and a sharp White-on-Black bucket seat interior, it has been upgraded during a frame-up restoration with the addition of a Six Pack induction system incorporating the triple 2-barrel carburetion setup with special manifold, air cleaner and twin-inlet scooped hood with hold down pins.

really???......a hemi cuda went for 1.2 million at the las vegas auction a couple years ago. and another at a million the year before.
Yeah, but there were a lot less HEMI cudas made. And less HEMIs in general at the time E-Body HEMI cudas were available.

And the market has settled down a bit in the last couple of years. So much so, that if I were to finish my Charger project tomorrow, I'd be upside down on cost compared to market value.
That's why I'm not in a great hurry to finish it. Not that I'm looking to cash in, it just takes a little bit of the fervour out the process.

even tho it's not a hemi.....i like it better. i never really cared for the bee stripe.....and i like the color a LOT more :thu:
 
I built a model of one when I was a teenager. My cousin helped me paint all the parts first. I think it was one of the first times I tried to get all the details right. Probably the hardest part to do was the headlights & grille area. I remember raiding my auntie's craft box for jewels to use in the headlights.... she was not amused.
