1965 Melody Maker?

Any idea what this is? I believe a Melody Maker, Gibson. SR# 275502 which is a 1965.

Trying to find value and if original.

Wish that I could help but you lost some value when the Kahler was installed. Also looks like the bridge pickup was replaced with an old Lawrence L90.

It's sure not original! Here is something closer to that:

The pickups, bridge, nut, pickguard and pretty much the rest on your photo are replacements. In terms of value -- here is a listing for a heavily modded '62 for that is listed at $900:

An original two-pickup '65 MM will probably list for between 1200 and $2K, depending oncondition.

The Kahler bridge and replacement pickup really cocked up the overall aesthetic pretty badly.

Yes it is. It's the previous (1961-1964) version. I wouldn't mind having one of those from 1963, since that's the year I was born. Also, they have nice and chunky necks.
