Tech Notes: This Coodercaster plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The frets are tall and show light play wear. It has been properly setup and intonated in standard tuning.

It looks great, but that thing over the bridge pickup? I guess that must be based on something Mr. Cooder uses? Maybe for slide playing it would be an asset instead of a palm-ripper.
 
Would love to spend some time with one of those Coodercasters, but the paint — the whole colour scheme, honestly — really isn’t working for me on this one. It fucks, though, obviously.
 
Cool idea. Yet as good Ry sounds (which is awesome), I don't feel the need to try to emulate him or for his guitar...unless he wanted to actually give me his guitar.
 
Early Ric pickups were also similarly constructed where the strings run through the pickup. For example, old Ric basses.

 
I'm sure it sounds awesome in the right hands, like Isbell's Coodercaster.
Unfortunately I like palm mute dynamics too much even while playing clean.
 
Only thing I can't get over is how bad the blue in the pickguard doesn't go with the blue on the body, which doesn't go with the blue knobs.
