Guitar Center Used Gear app users - new feature - can you take a look and see if it is working, see if it works and if you think it works really good?

I added username / password creation to the gear tracker site so that your personal favorite stores / watched items / want list will appear from device to device if you're logged in.

You don't have to enter your e-mail if you don't want, and I am using standard hashed-password methodology for all this so I can't see your passwords or anything :embarrassed: But the security, while standard, I don't fully understand - so I probably wouldn't use like the same password you use for your banking apps or whatever. I mean it's probably fine but I'd hate to be wrong about that so just use your best judgment :embarrassed:

Anyways let me know if it works, or as always if you see things that are broken and/or have other suggestions...

My next step is making this into an app or something and seeing about getting it out into the world.

the Mobile Web experience has been completely redesigned so if you want to check out the phone on mobile and let me know what you think, please do! this is in preparation for the app version - the mobile web version should now look / feel more like an app.

Wow this is awesome! I’d pay a few bucks for the app too.

Also, I already have GAS for something after just playing with the site. Thanks a lot.

Thanks! i'm still making tweaks, for example today I added a saved search functionality so you can save different filter combinations

Is there something that does this for craigslist too? I'm on the hunt for two very specific PRS guitar models that are on the less common side.

I've added Google OAuth (the thing that says Login via Google) as the primary login mechanism now, which should be more secure than the old one. If you already created an account you should switch it over to Google OAuth. I've set it up so you can still migrate your settings / favorites / etc. from your existing account.

Finally taking a look at this. Cool!

Oddly, it seems to think the Springfield, NJ, store is 1056 miles from me.

Try it again?

I’ve played with it for an hour or so and really like it. Very smooth, no delay, no glitching.

I’m signed in on my phone. It indicates I can sign out but don’t see my user name on the screen. Or a place where I can view my profile.

From what I’ve seen so far it works well.

I won’t use it much because I’m not in the U.S. but if I ever get to chasing an itch for something that I’m not finding locally, I know where to go.

This is a really neat way to check out what's close up. One thing that this app has confirmed: GC (at least the Middleton location) are out of their fucking minds when it comes to pricing used gear...

Is anyone else thinking Smurfco might make some Mark Cuban money off this app and buy the Atlanta Braves?

That would be fun. He would be singing 'Take me out to the Ballgame' at most of the games. He could be the house band too. He would fly out Weiners on his first class jet to watch games behind home plate. Free hot dogs, beer and pop. All because we were there for him before he made these big bucks.
I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking about this.
Hey Smurfco...Thanks!
