The song is essentially D... G... D... G... but it's fun to play with octaves, variations, and different melodies over the top.

Come to think of it... next time I'm teaching someone to play guitar... I'm starting with this song because you can practice variations of cowboy chords, power chords, finger picking, and voice leading.
