My wife doesn't seem to understand why I get so bent out of shape on a 2 lane road when someone is driving 10 under the speed limit.
"The skinny one on the RIGHT!!!... People got shit to DOOOOO.... Now there's 4 cars piled up behind me and that last impatient fucker is going to try and pass this entire slow train."
It's common sense and safety. I'm not saying everyone needs to drive 10-20 over. I'm saying if you are slow.... get your slow ass to the right and let the traffic flow. ONE stab of the brakes creates a ripple affect that will stop the traffic from moving consistently on the road for the next HOUR.
IMO... highways should have digital speed limit signs above each lane that constantly tick up and down every 5 or 10 miles... even though there will be people who will try to push the limits or ignore the signs, if enough people would adjust their speed earlier it might help prevent some of the more abrupt bottlenecks (like the assholes that try to pass all the people merging to go through construction and force their way in riiiight at the orange barrels. Fuck those assholes in their BMW faces.

I465 in Indy has variable speed limit signs so that the speed limit can be reduced if there is congestion ahead so as to avoid more congestion. It doesn't work - people still just drive 70mph until they hit the congestion.
