Daughter hit a deer

She's fine. Her car, not so much, they totaled it. Her old car, tiny, was a Chevy Spark. Her new car, much bigger is a Chevy Malibu. Her parking spot in the garage was no longer adequate. Work bench at back of the garage, then tiny path, the 70s transistor Hammond organ with several things wrong with it. Hammond had to go. Well, most of it had to go. I kept the main speaker and the builtin Leslie.

That’s a terrible thing to experience. Mojo for your daughter.

A deer ran into the side of my car a few years past. I was only going about 25 mph. I saw her in my peripheral vision at the last few seconds, just as she was about to hit my driver side door. There was nothing I could do to avoid her. The car door was smashed in on the side and made loud groaning sounds when opened or shut, until it was replaced.

The Leslie! No pedal fully captures the sound and feel of a real Leslie. Too bad it took a deer accident to achieve it but that’s how it goes sometimes.

Haven't done much with this, just been licking my wounds. 2x4 at each corner. I cut 3 of them 15" long and one them 15 1/2" long. Oh, it gets better . Not better, worse. I didn't notice it till it was all clamped up. Decided I would cut 1/2" out of the long one when the glue dried. Glue dried. It would be so much easier if I sat it so the one I need to cut on the top so my saw would be on the outside but, after I make my first cut, it wouldn't have any support. I went back and forth, finally decided to have it on the bottom with some wood under it. Made my cuts, removed 1/2". I removed 1/2" from one of the three that were the same size. Fuck.

Saturday I finally went back to it and added a half an inch back to it. This morning I took a half inch out of the correct one. Now it's finally moving forward. Router the corners and sanding and it's ready. I have let it be known, told wife, if the kids ask what I want for Father's Day,
