Hot or Not: Here you go, probably dangerous for your wallet and sanity, but here is the Guitar Center Used Gear Tracker site that I made. Take a look, let me know

Here it is!

I am still toying around with it so let me know if anything breaks. It should render differently based on destkop vs mobile viewership.

If you have suggestions let me know too, OTHER THAN PUSH ALERTS / EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS. I don't think I have the infrastructure to send out emails (like when something new matches your want list) I'm gonna explore how that might work but for now any requests or ideas for new features should be limited to what you can see / use on the page in real time.

Have funnnnn

This is fricking cool. Tooo bad I'm broke. But this is incredibly cool.
Thanks! Despite having zero web dev skills I made the entire thing using Claude AI. I've since built some internal dashboards here at work.

I'm taking the advice of the doom articles I read about how to keep AI from replacing you and most of them say you should become the "AI Guy" at work. It's been incredible though what I've been able to build despite not knowing practically any code.

Absolutely be that guy.

Nice, well done @smurfco! I really like the basic, intuitive interface. My only complaint is that gear costs too much.

One suggestion would be allowing store selection/filtering by state or zip, or even a "near me" function. The last one is probably hardest to implement because it would require the user to allow location access. I have no idea how much work that would be. Probably a lot. Most folks probably know the 2 or 3 GCs that are nearby anyway. I like the Favorites feature for saving them.

I oughta figure out a way to make all these links affiliate links or whatever so i get a commission if someone uses one :embarrassed:
Or at least figure out how to get a "referred by" your site if/when someone makes a purchase using it. Maybe one of the mods here can help with that. IIRC, Amy used to do that for this forum if someone bought the SDOTD from MF using her link. That is, MWGF got some little kickback when that happened. Who knows, you get enough referrals and you may get paying ads on your site. Then we'll all start complaining about how cluttered it has become.

You should monetize it if possible. I jujst bought a $4,800 guitar based your search engine.

Is there a way to see recent price reductions?
Do the keep previously sold prices? For comparison
Can Music Go Round stores be added?
wow do tell! what guitar??

Good suggestions, theoretically it should note when there is a price drop but adding a filter to view recent price drops is a good idea. I don't think the second is possible, I think once an item is out of their database the API can't fetch it anymore. Not sure on Music Go Round but I will check!

Just looked. It’s already off the site.

Not needed but nice dept.. maybe a “coding” lesson but what about a “recently viewed” items list?
