Afternoon all

Recovering. Yesterday was tough, but it was a joy to see how well-loved by how many lovely people (some of whom had come from as far as Hong Kong to be at his wake) my brother was. We cried and then we partied.

Oh... and... I read this, and may have to reconsider my opinions of Russell Brand somewhat. :embarrassed:

Mojo the_huge.. Glad it went as well as these things can. Regarding Russell Brand. I highly recommend watching his interview with Paxman which is on YouTube.. Rather excellent he was.

Sent from here of course

Thanks, Mo :thu:
I haven't seen it, but have heard quite a bit of talk of it and will check it out.

OI! I said to you all that the Russell Brand interview was good the other day and was totally ignored. Bastards!

Ah. Glorious day. :)

Great match of football earlier, and just back from another show with the bi-annual comedy review thing I do where I'm in the band playing FACE MELTING LEADS.

Now, BEER.

Don't remember posting that thwap0

I'm being very middleclass today and going to a farmers market

Good luck to the soft southerners who have to deal with a bit of wind and rain wave0

morning, storm chasers,

not even as much as a breeze here, so pretty uneventful morning. Going for a bacon and sausage roll now plus a mega mug of coffee :embarrassed:

Morning People that suddenly like Lou Reed

Windy here, not exactly stormy though. Shame.

Am I the only person here that didn't particularly like Lou Reed?

can't say that I liked much of his music, his collaboration with Meh-tallica was hilariously bad. Still respect his contribution to music

morning all

disappointed to report that the storm hasn't reached us here; I always enjoy a good blow.

I liked Lou Reed. We went to see him play in Brummagem a few years ago, and it was the first gig that ever made me wonder if I was getting too old to rock and roll; he was incredibly loud. Fortunately the review in the paper the following day with it's headline in enormous print 'LOUD REED' made me realise that it wasn't just me. :)

Off to take the ma-in-law to the rat-poisoner.

now there's a sentence you never thought you would ever use

oh, we sold our flat recently. We haven't find a new house to buy yet as we intended, so there was the prospect of us being homeless. Through a friend, my girlfriend managed to find a place to rent for cheap until we find a place to buy. This house is bigger than we will ever be able to buy, so we won't be in a hurry to find something else :embarrassed:

anyway, good times all around :embarrassed:
