PRS DGT SE. $679 on Sweetwater, and the best new import guitar I've ever played. Still getting a feel for the elctronics since its kind of a "hi fi" sound compareed to my Les Paul but it plays killer out of the box. We'll see how it does on a gig this weekend...

I think I’ve told this story, but I saw David Grissom do a workshop where he played both a core DGT and an SE DGT.
A few bars into the song with the SE, he did this kind of smirk and shrug as if to say, “Not much of difference. Is there?” He set that idea up before starting the song. So, the smirk and shrug was an acknowledgment of the point.

The dealers really need to be on their toes with their QA and setup.
David says that doesn't hesitate to inspect any of his signature guitars if he finds one hanging on the wall - especially at workshops. He doesn’t bring his own guitars. He always uses the shop guitars.
 
Anyone GASsing over Mark's DGT.... hit me up. I have a flame top one with American knobs, Strap Buttons, and Mann Made drop in locking tuners (no extra holes) that I'd be willing to part with because it doesn't get played after I got my dual humbucker Suhr. It's a killer guitar that punches way above it's price... I just need to pare down how many guitars I have.

The most impressive thing about my SE is the wraparound tailpiece. Everybody is aware of how impossible it is to get the old ones to intonate decently. That’s not the case with mine, it plays in tune all over the neck. No bird inlays or AAAAA wood grains either!
