What is the last thing you cooked in a crock pot ?

Mrs. Ignored Member is a big fan of the crock pot. She enjoys putting the ingredients together, then she just puts them in, starts it up, and goes on with her day.

We had a chicken/sauce thing over rice last night.

Nothing. Never owned one.

The last crock pot meal I ate was probably a pot roast thing my mom used to make all the time. That was ages ago, and she and the crock pot are long gone.

My wife made a kind of patatas bravas thing with baby potatoes and chorizo. It's usually fantastic but it was a bit meh which is strange because it was after a big football game so I was drunk and starving. Last time she made it way too spicy so I think she didn't put anything except salt and pepper in it this time :(

Lamb stew a few weeks ago.
I do a pork tenderloin in the crock pot pretty frequently.

Instant pot and Dutch oven have replaced the crockpot in our kitchen.

batch of Texas red in the dutch oven going today

Chicken breasts and salsa for chicken tacos.

We use ours fairly often. Every other Tuesday our step-daughter has Irish dance lessons early enough that I have very little time to cook when I get home from work - so we use the slow-cooker those days.

Didn't feel like cooking for Christmas - plus all my kids are 20+ of age. Decided to throw about 40 hotdogs in the crockpot for Christmas Day - eat whenever you want and how often you want with about 30 different hot dog toppings to choose from. Mac & Cheese, bacon, coleslaw, onion sauce, chili, salsa, etc....

It sounds like a horrible thing to do on Christmas Day

It was legendary.

My wife God bless her: "that's dinner ready but it doesn't really taste like chilli for some reaaon"

Probably because you put in garam masala and tumeric instead of thr spices that are meant to go into chilli dear...
