Bought a fresh Butterball turkey from Costco four days ago. Went to put it in the brine this afternoon and as I cut the wrapper open, the smell that came out almost made me hurl. I rushed down to Costco and they said they'd had another in earlier. Then went to Safeway and bought a fresh Jenny-O to brine. It's in the works. I hope no one gets a surprise tomorrow opening a turkey only to realize it's bad.
