You're stuck on a desert island... Choose 3 guitars...

here's the scenario... You are stuck on a desert island that has electricity and your favorite amp. You only have three guitars with you. They can be from your current collection now or three guitars that you do not own currently.

What are they? Please post pics ...

For me, I would go with:

How about you?

For me:

A tele, because without teles, there is no life!

Of course, the SG -- it's my newest!

And finally the Emerald, because I could use it to paddle on the boat I build!

Ok, as long as there's also plenty of food on that island . . .

The PRS SE 30th Anniversary Custom 24, because I'm not even close to being tired of it yet.

The Fender Deluxe Player's Stratocaster, because I could no longer call myself stratguy if I didn't, and because I still love playing it.

Then I have a very hard choice, because it would come down to the Gretsch 5420T, or the Taylor 710ce. I guess I'd go with the Taylor, just in case there was an interruption in the power. You know how long it takes to get a repairman out to those desert islands!

Without the food, I'd forget the Taylor and go with DCF's pick.

I'd take a Rubio Brahms-guitar, a Manzer archtop, and Manzer baritone.

That said, I'd happily switch for a piano or cello, if given the option.

Just saying: you're.

I figured I'd sneak a fourth one along while "your" busy learning to spell "desert."

Some of these may be mine, some may not.

I'm surprised that many people are opting for 2-3 electric guitars on an island with no band, no looper, or no ability to record.

Oh rilly?!?! I'm a winner in the game of life, bud. My dessert island is called "St. Croix," and let me tell you, I've got tons of other gear. Read the fine print (or lack of same). Just because you felt like leaving your Plexi at home, don't get all butt hurt on the rest of us.
