Question: Who makes something like this?

Pine Apple Slim

Armchair Expert
Hardtail, HSH, neck thru or set, 24 frets, 12” radius, rosewood or ebony board, alder, korina, or mahogany, no basswood.
“Normal” Stratish body shape, or possibly a more Gibsony double cut, nothing too weird.

Actually, you can't go wrong with the Charvel DK Pro-Mod series.

This one is Alder with all of what you mentioned...

And there's one that is "sassafras" which has a cool satin wood grain finish and an HSS config...

I do see you want HSH and the Pro Mod HSH is Blue or Natural and has a trem.

The Black ones could pretty easily get an extra single cut in the top , or enlarge the single to make it a hum size.

Umm, aren't those bolt-ons? "Hardtail, HSH, neck thru or set" (boldface added for emphasis)

The tough thing with HSH and 24 frets is.... that is almost solid pickups from bridge to last fret.

Strandberg now makes a through neck model.....

... but you'd have to go without a headstock. That's pretty Gibson-y if you ask me. :helper:

Or I'm sure you could configure one via Balagher's website.

I can't think of a single one, I'm sure custom one-offs were made (Hamer, BC Rich, Robin?), but that's probably not something your getting off the shelf on Reverb. Even the Gibson EM-2 had a locking trem.

Okay... just changed some body woods, made the neck and fingerboard Wenge, and the recessed portion of the headstock is also wenge, but the strip under the tuners is body color. Then I changed the hardware to black chrome.

I could live with 22 frets and a bolt on neck.
Could even do with a 9 or 10 radius, even better if compounded to 12 or 14 up high.
What I really don’t want is a trem or a super flat and thin “shredder” neck and board like an Ibanez super strat.
I may just have to get one of those Player series Fenders, or a good ol Mex Strat w a swimming pool route and block it.

HSS would be ok too.
What’s the neck like on those I wonder?.

I built a Blaugher sp? on the website exactly as I was imagining.
Can’t figure out how to get the pic tho.
Problem is it costs 2 grand, about 2x what I’m wanting to spend.

They're a fairly slim but comfortable carve. It's not a sharp wizard D like an Ibanez, but slimmer than a Fender C.

I'll double check the specs on mine when I get home.

I've got a pink (for now  ) one.....

That looks really nice! And I’m not a superstrat guy either.

Yeah, that's what drew me to the Charvel... it's got many of the hot rod features I would have done or wanted. Lumilay side dots, locking tuners, graphtech nut, low friction volume knob, no load tone knob, contoured heel, and stainless frets on a roasted maple neck. All yummy.

I hate thin necks, but adapted to this Charvel because it plays so nice and slinky. I suppose the main difference is I play this one with my thumb behind the neck more than wrapping, but part of that is due to the 24 frets and where I position the length of the strap for the body to balance. For me, it's more important for the right arm to hang comfortably with the edge of the palm resting on the bridge, just behind my mute point. SG's I feel like both hands are "out in front" more or my hands are too far left.... and some baritones and small body instruments I feel like the bridge on my right hip instead of in my right front pocket.

It's for those reasons (and I didn't find any other sub $900 instruments with HALF as many features) that I still have it.

Its nice for sure, but Im afraid my hand would cramp playing rhythm. Thats why I got rid of an Epi Explorer I had, its neck was very thin front to back, couldn't wrap my thumb around comfortably, had to play it with thumb directly behind at all times. I need a little meat back there.

I hear ya! I have always liked the PRS Wide Fat... Sold all of my EBMM's because of the really narrow nut. I feel like even Fenders with the same nut width feel wider... all three EBMM's I owned cramped my hands.

You can see here that my Thorn is the same width as the wide fat... maybe a couple mm wider...

But THICKNESS? The Thorn is the deepest neck I've every owned without it feeling like a baseball bat. So fat but the carve is perfect!

If it makes any difference, the neck carve on the balaguer comfy c shape is similar to a Suhr modern
