Well, as one of those Maryland bastards, I have to admit that I enjoy Old Bay on corn on the cob.

I was thinking about this while I was cleaning some candle wax out of my toilet bowl, who was the person who decided what spices go good with what foods, and specifically old bay, I thought maybe is it because it has bay in the name? but you wouldn't stick a bay leaf up a fish's ass and pray for rain would you? So who was it? Who specifically came up with the idea of that is the great one for fish?

I don't believe I've ever tasted Old Bay seasoning - perhaps because Wisconsin is as close to the East Coast as I've ever lived?
