I don't think I suggested this one, but thanks. :embarrassed:

I'll get to listening here in a bit. :thu:

Sent from my iPhone at a Tijuana donkey show.

I'll check these out tomorrow after work. I just want to add one caveat that my track should be viewed as a remix, and not a cover. I used an acapella version of the tune and created new music around it.

Suhton- I dug the intro, not what I was expecting, Nice

Knox- page not found

Saint- Nice groove, I not sure why but the first part of the solo reminded me of Another Nail For My Heart by Squeeze, needed more harmonica

Prages- page not found

Kerouac- Really different for you, I really liked it, the solo tone was nice too

OGG- Nice spacey intro, you nailed that opening guitar riff, awesome vocal, and nailed the outro riff too. You had to have spent forever on that one.

Suhnton - Fun, as always. Loved the countdown samples especially.

Phil - YAY! You survived a Tom Waits song. :thu: I really liked how you had each section build with new instrumentation.

OGG - Fucking hell... that was great.

I've got everyone else's songs downloading and will listen a bit later.

Prages_ nailed that one, nice synth too

Knox- That was certainly a differently a different intro, Nicely done! #2 THe acoustic thing was really a cool way to do this song, I really enjoyed that

Phil- That was great, once again I prefer a cover of Tom Waits to the man himself.

Wow, Lot's of great submissions!

Suhnton: Nice work, you actually made me like that song  Very well done.

Knox: Crazy intro on the first track, Would probably genuinely make Robert Smith cry  but I dig it. Both versions were nicely done, the acoustic is beautiful.

Saint: Damn! I would sell a kidney to have your chops. Your phrasing is exquisite. The whole song just kicks ass. You are my hero.

Prages: AWESOME! You were all over that like white on rice. Great guitar work, great synths, great everything. Mind if I send a link to Elliot and Greg?

Phil: Who says you can't polish a turd? (j/j) Nicely done. I prefer your voice over TW any ol' day of the week. Nice build up.

Kerouac: Another one that make me feel inadequate. Impeccable precision and mad skillz overall. I loved it.

Rev: Fantastic job :thu: Who'da thunk it... The Rev, covering the Rev with a Rev... Tone was awesome, playing was way out of my league.

OGG: You suck.

OGG, are you sure your not a politician? Thank you I appreciate the encouragement.

BTW- special thanks to Kerouac for doing the drums and mixing and Modern Saint for the bass and advice.

Knox In Box - Boys Don't Cry

Loved the "Am I Evil?" intro in the first version, but the second one was definitely my favourite. Great stuff.

Modern Saint - Blue Lady

Great playing and not a harmonica in sight. :embarrassed:

Prages - Just What I Needed

As always, a really great effort. Loved the vocal harmonies and the mix was really good.

Reverend1 - Just Got Paid

This sounds familiar...

You did a much better job than you gave yourself credit for. Keep working at it an it gets easier each time. :thu:

Prages: AWESOME! You were all over that like white on rice. Great guitar work, great synths, great everything. Mind if I send a link to Elliot and Greg?

But sure, if you know them and want them to hear it.

Thanks, I did this video when I first learned the song. I never got around to getting a studio version recorded. It's a little rough around the edges but I wanted to get something submitted.

Suhnton - The Final Countdown

Dug the intro and the way everything was layered. I was expecting an original cover version of the Europe version which I really dislike but I forgot that you are Suhnton - you blew it out of there bro. The vocal tonality, range and pitch was Ossum! I have heard your submissions before and this is classic Suhnton – Super bro!

Knox In Box - Boys Don't Cry

The intro threw off and I was thinking that this was going to be a great different cover version. I was hoping that you would have continued with that theme. Either way – Great cover :thu:

KIB - This acoustic version is freakin’ killer dude! I now want to learn your version and play it as part of my acoustic set Saint style.

Modern Saint - Blue Lady

Needed and Missing Harmonica or Kazoo

Prages - Just What I Needed

Precision – Standard Prages covers. Dude you shocked me with the synth in there - Killer bro. The drums freak me out in this piece because they are real, even more so because the original were electronic. This added more depth to the song and made it better.

Phil - Time

Not really a Tom Waits enthusiast because of cookie monster vocals. That just kills the thought of me listening to his tunes. With Phil’s version, I listened and enjoyed - great work bro!

I guess some people were born to write and should remain there. I now may actually try to listen to the original

Kerouac - The Losing End

You really blow my mind dude :thu:

After hearing your last recordingfest, dude you do some great stuff. The only thing I could find was Neil Young’s version and if that is what you started with – major props. There was a Jeff Tweedy version but that was acoustic too.

Reverend1 - Just Got Paid

There you go brother you did it and one helluva job too! I expect hear more from you in the future dude :thu:

OGG - When Doves Cry

Where the hell did that Prince voice come from dude? I thought that I was in Paisley Park studio’s monitor room while you, Prince, was playing in there with Wendy and Lisa. Great guitar work dude, love the harmonized guitar with that Prince type edge sound.

noquarter1983 - The A Team

Great job dude. Don't know the song so I had to pull up my iTunes to hear the original. You nailed it bro!

Thanks, but those aren't real drums. :embarrassed:

I played my Alesis DM8 kit and used it to trigger EZ Drummer with a metal expansion pack.
