Can we get some consensus here? I like firm beans. But not too firm (uncooked). There's nothing worse than sitting down at a restaurant and ordering a side of rice and beans and the beans are way too soft and mushy, or they are hard and dry.

But who does it best? I brought this up in our staff meeting today and there was a spirited (and borderline heated) debate on which place has the firmest beans. I'll withhold my opinion so as not to bias you, but the poll represents the five choices that we were able to generally agree upon as finalists for firmest beans.

What say you?

Never seen the last 2 restaurant chains, so of the top 3, I'll say Chili's. If I had to pick a place to eat out of Chili's, Applebee's and TGI Friday's, it'd be Chili's :embarrassed:

Living where I live I never go to any of those restaurants. We have too many good choices.

Are you talking about creole style red beans and rice?
