where do we stand on Chowder ?

I tend to judge restaurants on their chowder. Give me a big bowl, some oyster crackers and tabasco and I am in heaven.

And, more importantly, red or white?

This food truck is on our street for super bowl week that has dynamite chowder sandwiches.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? Chowder and sandwich doesn't belong in the same sentence.......I'm freaking here...

I love clam chowder, and refer to it just as clam chowder. Growing up in an area where we dug clams for free on the beach, I love chowder. I prefer white. Not too much potato, but enough, no corn, not too, too thick.
Correct.....Unless you're making corn chowder you DO NOT add corn because it takes over the flavor

Here in Rhode Island we have a chowder called...Rhode Island Clam Chowder that has a clear broth. I've never had it and it's not nearly as popular as New England or Manhattan but yeah, clear broth. Doesn't sound all that appetizing to me.
