What would a '74 Yamaha 12-string be worth, ball-park?

A guy I know at work says he has a 1974 Yamaha 12-string he wants to get rid of.

He says he just doesn't play it, if anything other people that come over to his house are the ones that play it. He said he had some bracing put in it by Aaron from Aaron's Guitars in Vicksburg, MI (who worked for Gibson for years, then made his own arch top line of guitars. Passed away about a year ago)

I don't really have much interest in 12-strings myself, but he said he wanted 'Two and a half' for it, which I take it he wants $250. I hope he didn't mean $2,500 :embarrassed:

I figured if it was a good enough deal…

If it is in really good shape, $250 is a good deal.

If it is beat to shit, no.

They are always all over Ebay.....for some reason the 12 strings are always cheaper than the 6 strings.

Yamaha has always made great high end acoustics, and has always made entry level acoustics. You need to research which one it is.
