What is your fvorite pickled food ?

We used to make a pickled eggplant thing that was amazing on a sammich. It was eggplant,celery,garlic and oregano. I gotta make that again sometime.

I think pickling might be an abomination. That said, I like roasted red peppers that are jarred in liquid, and there's one dish we make that involves capers (lemon pepper caper chicken pasta).

it's a paste. various preserved fish pastes are pretty common in southeast asian food (that's thai)

I didn't buy it though the picture is mine from the Asian market down the way. They had pickled mud fish as well, looked the same though. Yuck ...
