I don't think Akai makes these anymore. I bought it from a guy on craigslist.

It does everything I need in a delay/looper with only a few things I don't care about. The multiple outputs and ability to stagger the "heads" in Tape Echo mode are cool but not something I can really use.

On the other hand, the looper is really simple and the tap tempo is handy.

I'm using more slapback these days and the Akai is way overkill for that. Plus it takes up a pretty good chunk of pedalboard. I'm tempted to get a little Mooer or a Carbon Copy just for that.

older one. Picked one up for $150...couldn't resist. Similar tones to the BOW, but playing with the Range really provides a nice array of fuzz options. I just max it out though, so I don't think I'm missing much by not going with either deluxe version.
