I'm also remembering chores that got done in a more timely fashion. Like, as I type, my wife is removing the contents of the cabinet below the kitchen sink because it's leaking badly. I anticipate an inspection for cause, disassembly to the extent needed to effect repairs, a trip to the hardware store and back, cleaning off the crap from years of neglect, effecting the repair followed up by a clean-up, a beer(s) and a few moments to marvel at my handiwork. Chores. Then I get to chop up holly trees I cut down last week. I'd have done it then but some kind of spider bit me on the neck while working and it took me out for a couple days (the meek busy inheriting the earth - no problem). Then I have some work to do on the cars.
If I actually put my priorities where they need to be, I'd never be here.
