I know... but the adoption agency I got him from checks up on shots, neutering, etc... if he's not fixed by March 1st I would be fined by the city of South Bend.
We've decided not to have him declawed though... he's really good about being "manicured". He'll just sit there and let us trim the sharp ends off of his claws.
We had such a rough time with Reeses when he was declawed (just the front) and he was limping around for a long while... then the vet explained exactly what they do with the declawing and I was mortified that I had voulentarily done that to one of my pets. :(
no...animals need to be spayed and neutered. It's just never fun taking them.

I just look at 'em and say "I know brother... I've has the old Vas done myself. It sucks, but sometimes people just don't want another Baimun running around."

We had a female cat once that we didn't get spayed right away. She was an indoor cat and the male cats we had at the time were neutered, so it didn't matter. Then one morning I woke up soaking wet. We smelled my clothes and it was cat pee. We had 4 cats at the time, so we couldn't figure out which one it was. About a month later, it happened again. the next month, my wife walked in and saw the female cat peeing on me while I was sleeping. Apparently, she would pee on me when she was in heat. She never peed on my wife, just me. So for me that one time, it was fun taking the cat in to get her fixed.
