Question: Vox AC15 CC1 - Anyone Familiar with this amp?

Argle Bargle or Foofaraw?
There is a Vox AC 15 Custom Classic listed on the local CL, and I've been giving some thought to checking it out. Does anyone here have any experience with this amp?
 
The CC1 is the previous version, and not held in very high regard amongst the Vox faithful - apparently those (and the AC30CC1) had quite a few QC issues. That said, depending on the overall condition, I would try to talk him down. Otherwise, I bet you can find a nice, used C1 for about the same price.

IIRC, the biggest issue was the placement of the tubes. You had to majorly take the amp apart to change them.
 
How loud does the AC15C1 get?

Edit – I'm looking at purchasing either the AC15 or the AC30. Suggestions?

Pretty darned loud for a 15-watter.

Go for it! :thu: I liked mine a lot, but flipped it for something that's a little more...me...but it was a cool amp.
