Hot or Not? Unexpected Find

Okay, ignore the Marshall knobs. Modern Saint and I were eyeing this curiously over at Twin Town - it's an original, not a reissue and pretty clean all things considered:

He almost went home with TWO amps this trip.

It's got Marshall knobs...and no Fender logo on the grill (or I could have just said it has no Fender grillplate to be more succinct, but what's the fun in brevity?)

Interesting. I wonder how original it is on the inside?

According to the sales guy they had two of these and both were not working. Power tubes were TAD and the power cord was upgraded so no death cap in circuit. The chassis from the back was super clean and if I remember correctly the date code on this amp is Jan 1965. The cool part also is the label beneath the Bandmaster where it says Fender Electric Instrument (Pre CBS) vs. the later Fender Musical Instrument. The Princeton I bought has the later built in Dec 1965. The probably ran out of the Pre-CBS plates when they made the one I just bought.

The amp was very clean looking at $650.
