Help! True bypass wah

same message to @gtrjunior ... just closing the loop with everyone else.

well - that was quick. there is no easy way to do it... because of how the sensor works.

unfortunately the switch is part of the magic of true bypass.

I'll give you the 'comma but'... You can run it through a small looper that just goes around the wah... It would require you to step on a foot switch. I could add a buffer so you get a nice signal boost at the front your chain.

Is the buffer in the 95Q not a great one?
I really liked the wah since it's switchless but it wreaks havoc on the tone. I actually ordered another one. I got the Dunlop "classic" with the red fasel inductor and true bypass. Should have it tomorrow, I think.

The problem with these is that they cost $170!!!!!
Plus, I don't believe this will work with the 95Q since it's a switchless wah. I may be wrong though.
This is the same thing I posted earlier. I can make this for about $50 in parts... And you switch it on and off with a foot switch.

Right....this particular one didn't have the switch you talked about so it wouldn't work with the switchless wah, correct?

The idea is it's pressure sensitive (as is your wah in this case). Foot on, it's switched in, foot off it's switched out. Your wah does the same but obviously not true bypass. This is intended originally for switched wahs so that you can leave it cocked and tap it in and out. Think Chappers did a YouTube review of it a few years back.

Here we go... Picture Pages time...Without slipping stuff into drinks.

Yes ... basically it makes a switchless wah *switched*... But if tone suck is really ruining/degrading the signal, it's the only way to get around it.

The idea for true bypass is to take the entire effect out of play and minimize it to signal wire.

Like I mentioned earlier this is on the high end by adding a clickless true bypass. (You don't get signal pop when switching around the effect).

You can do it for any non-true bypass effect.

Or Option 2... Put a buffer on the output of the wah. It restores/should restore the signal 1 to 1.

Should do. The bottom plate is pressure sensitive. Put foot on, wah is in circuit, foot off, it's switched out. Your wah works the same way. These were originally designed to allow a switched wah to be left in a cocked position and brought in and out by putting your foot on it when needed. Rob Chapman did a review several years ago
