Tom Anderson hollow drop-top

Don't know if this is a review or not, but after 14 years of thrashing it there's no wear and still the best guitar (even the best Anderson) that I've ever played. This put a serious lid on my GAS. :)

Simple jam track I recorded a few weeks ago. Drums are from StudioOne. Bass is an old Mustang.

Nice looking guitar!
Thanks for that!

I'm under no illusion that it's the best you can get BTW, just the best I've tried. The aesthetic is really becoming dated, but that's what you get when you keep stuff for a long time. :)

Those specs in a Tele body was something I was very interested in from Fender, Anderson, and Suhr before I settled on the notion of being more of hobbiest as a player. That's a killer professional instrument there. That said, almost all of my guitars are pro instruments (even if from "standard" lines, e.g.: Am Std Strat, ASAT Special [USA], Session Custom, etc.). My PRS guitars, CE-22 and Custom (from when they only made 24 fret guitars) are the ones on the level of this beaut.

Love that color.

Nice! Rosewood necks are the beeesssst.

The neck join on this is Tom's earlier one. He now uses a cool 2-bolt wedge system. Mine has never budged.

The pickups and switching are really versatile (key reqmt for me). It's actually 3 humbuckers, with a master coil split switch (also changes from 500K to 250K to reduce compromise). The master tone control engages the bridge pup no matter what the 5-way is set to, so I can approximate Teles and dual humbucker guitars.
