Throwback Thursday

Gary Blanchard

beloved, local musician
About 10 years ago, Carol and I were doing what I called Old-Time/Good-Time music. A blend of folk, old-time, jug band, and Tin Pan Alley stuff. Here is a publicity photo from back in the day. That cookie-tin banjo actually is playable, and I used it for gigs, along with a resonator guitar.

Sadly, I have very few photos older than this, thanks to my first wife who threw them all out. messedup0  :annoyed:

So we have a Clapton/Harrison story? Gary Blanchard you ol' dog you.
There was 22 years between #1 and #3. Wife #1 threw out all my photos, my album collection, and a lot of my favorite clothes because she was nuts. I remember her telling her aunt, "Gary was a hippie until I saved him." rolleyes1:annoyed:

Good pics, Gary :)

I could never do throwback Thursdays, just because I have very little, really no, old pictures of me. My family wasn't a picture-taking family, and I never had a camera in my late teens-early 20's

I like the pic of you and Carol, Gary. Like the more rent one of you, too. Gray makes you look "distinguished." :thu:
