Korina is so so light.

Except it's not. It's a myth that Korina is lighter than Mahogany.

Many builders don't bother with Korina because it's too hard to get good lightweight body blanks. Years ago I was talking to a respected boutique builder who had bought 6 White Limba/Korina blanks and only one was light enough for a guitar, he used the rest for basses and gave up on Korina (I saw he made a few more yeara later). I'll always kick myself for not buying that guitar.

If you search around on Warmoth to compare, their Mahogany bodies are on average 1 lb. lighter than their Korina bodies, that's why most of their pre-made Korina bodies (White or Black) are chambered (and still weight about the same as their solid Mahogany bodies).
 
I couldn't tell you a damned thing about korina's tonal qualities. The grain just looks sexy as hell.
 
Does/did Tokai or Edwards or (insert other Japanese guitar makers) make an all-korina V?
