yeah, I just think it's strange to have it on the body and headstock, without the neck. it looks unfinished. I'd be fine with all of it gone. the vast majority of my small collection has none.

Understood - just wondering who on earth would blow it so badly as to not put BLACK pup covers on the above model/finish? I'm a Godin fan, too, just .... cream? CREAM?!???!

seems to be the standard for singlecuts over the years. SG types are generally black, but the LP types seem to always be cream. PRS is all cream all the time as well.
