These are the features I wish Fender would have ...

Grant Gross

Kick Henry Jackassowski
in a vintage-voiced tweed amp:

Peavey Classic 20 MH Tube Guitar Amplifier Head Features:
  • Mini tube amp head with switchable 20W, 5W, or 1W operation
  • Inject great tone directly into the PA system with the Microphone Simulated Direct Interface
  • USB output for easy recording direct to your DAW
  • Tube Status Indication lets you know your power tubes are still working properly
  • Footswitchable channels, effects loop, and reverb
  • Headphone out

I may get that Peavey mini head anyway. It looks like a cool bedroom/recording amp.

The Peavey booth at Gearfest yesterday had both the Classic and 6505 mini heads. Someone was playing through the 6505 and it sounded pretty sweet, and I am not a huge fan of the "regular"-sized 6505+. Not knowing the circuit differences in each, since they are both EL84-based, I would imagine they would be somewhat similar.

the more crap you add to a simple circuit like a tweed amp the less it will sound good

I know the red knob twins/showmans have some of these features
the wattage thing and line out I believe
but...its a red knob fender
...I like those but nobody else does

I have a Red-Knob Twin and it's a great amp. Clean channel anyway, haven't explored the other channel too much.. Reverb is as good as a TR.
