The Biggs/Tattoine scene was prominent in both the novel and comic book versions, too. As a kid, I never understood why it wasn't in the movie.
The Jabba and Han scene in the re-release of ANH is awkward. Skinny miniature CGI Jabba doesn't look right. Han stepping on Jabba's tail was lame.
