I like black guard too. They are my go to on white, black or blonde. I looked at a few LPB with black guards and it didn't really look right. The black on LPB looked pretty good with a rosewood board, but you'd never catch me with a rosewood board on a Tele

So I now have everything but the pickup and the neck. I mounted the bridge and laid out the parts to see how it look. How does the black pickup ring look? I think I may need to go cream but not sure how that will look with black knobs.

That's where I was headed as well. I'm sure they can be had out there somewhere in the interwebz. Chrome or plain steel might be a consideration as well.

I didn't look very hard, but places like All Parts don't have them.
