The oldest amp I've played through...

I see Coralkong's point. There are some great "vintage" (nice euphemism for old - from now on I'll refer to myself as vintage) guitars and amps out there, but there is also a lot of bad stuff. Age alone doesn't make something desirable or worthwhile. (Maybe I am old and not vintage. :()

I can only speak for myself, but if I was looking to drop a couple of grand on an amp, it sure wouldn't 50 years old.
I'd have a nice new H/K or a Bogner or something....

Yeah, from those amp choices, I'm going to guess that you actually value newer tech and that you probably go in for higher gain tones, not really a strength of most vintage gear.
 


Supro's in the left side, with my Ibanez PF200. Right side is a '57 RI Strat through a fuzz face into a Fender Deville.
