WTF: The Grateful Dead's - 'Wall Of Sound'

My neighbor needs a taste of that PA after she complained about an acoustic recorded going through small desktop speakers. Maybe it was my playing? :lol:
 
Who wouldn't want to plug into that monster ?

I'm no Deadhead, but I still like some of their music. Back in the day, I would have loved a concert with that kind of sound system. I remember going to hear some bands, and getting as close to speakers as I could. Yeah, I'm a little smarter now . . . or maybe just older. Now get offa my lawn! :old:
 
The wall of sound is a great counter to the arguments that cannabis just makes people into lazy stoners who accomplish nothing.

What were they using for earplugs back in those days? That thing had to be putting out what, 120+ decibels for shows that lasted hours, right? I’m trying to understand how the band could stand in front of that and not go deaf.
