The G&L ASAT has become my #1

Well, I still love it, but have realized it isn't a Strat. There are some songs we do that just need a good Strat tone, so I am back to playing multiple guitars at rehearsal.

Interesting...For rehearsals I usually don't bother but for a gig I do. I do understand though when a strat sound is a strat sound.
 
see, the thing is, nobody in the audience cares. you might care, but they "out there" don't. I'm not going to dissuade you from using multiple guitars because sometimes you just have to. But if you can get around it, you'll make your life so much easier.
There's that signature solo in Overkill by Men at Work that simply has to be a Strat. There's also a particularly jangly song we do that the Tele just can't cover.

Other than those two, and one song with a whammy bar heavy solo, it can handle the rest.
