That’s a mandolin. Price reduce from $12,500 to $2,500. My knee jerk reaction is that it looks like a Shadow space ship from Babylon Five. But then I think…hell yes, why shouldn’t a mandolin look like a CGI spaceship? It’s certainly well-executed.

I think the criss-crossed strings will cause tuning issues and tear the bridge apart eventually at those string tensions, but it may just be set up like that for artistic effect. It looks like good craftsmanship, but I wonder about playing comfort.
