Hot or Not? The Beat Buddy (drum machine pedal)

To me, it seems like a really good practice tool. I can't imagine using it live, without a drummer. The funny thing is that many guitarist think things would be so much better without having to deal with a drummer, and many drummers feel like things would be better without having to deal with the guitarists. Of course, they both agree on the vocalist.
 
Clever idea....and who doesn't like a tap dancing solo guitarist act?

Edit: At $249, that's not bad. About the same as a good looper. I can see solo artists picking these up.
 
I thought it was an interesting idea and thought about getting one but realized for my purposes I already have what I need (EZdrummer solo for a basic beat or recording something specific with EZdrummer). I'm with shoeless, I could see this as pretty handy for a solo artist that was gigging and need some beats
