Stringjoy

It was time to put new strings on the Fender acoustic and I wanted to try something new. So far I am liking these. I bought the light gauge natural phosphorus bronze set. I like that each string is packaged individually, something that I missed having bought D'Addario strings for years. They had very little slippage, staying in tune almost immediately. They are quite resonant, making this laminate guitar sound better than it has in the past. The strings are a little costly, but may well be worth it if they wear well.

I have another set of extra lights for the Epiphone J-45; I am taking that in for a setup and will have Dave put those on. I will keep you posted on how I like the strings over time.

I decided to look at the J-45 and realized it jut needed a truss rod adjustment, so I did that and put the Stringjoy super lights on it. It sounds great, and is mostly holding tune. Now I just need to see how they wear with time.

I have now changed guitar strings twice in a week and our new cat showed no interest at all. Usually our cats have gone wild over guitar strings. Go figure.
