Fuck that guy, I lost all respect and sympathy for him a long, long time ago. When his incredibly supportive (if not enabling) wife gave him that ultimatum and he immediately fucked it up, he ceased to be worthy of either for me.

Either he is flat out lying about being clean, or his brain is damaged to the point of rendering him a walking turd.

For a guy who came up alongside and among guys like Layne Stahley and Kurt Cobain, watching him squander his status of still being on the right side of the dirt is maddening.

Something tells me that dirt will be coming to call sooner than later.

He freely admits he still has a drinking problem.
 
I've tried to sing while completely wasted on alcohol. That's pretty much exactly what it sounds like.
 
That there is more than just drinking. I would say it is a combination of drugs and alcohol. Looking at his eyes, you can tell he is on something. In any event, he is severely wasted.
 
I saw them back in the early 90s at the Mann music center and he was a mess. Can't remember who else was on the bill but STP was memorable as disappointing
