Master of the Meh
Just got off the phone with a guy who blew up his 1994 300ZX TT out in the desert and wanted to know what he should do about it...
Call a tow truck.
Nice guy, I offered my best advice, but I'm really tired of getting all of these phone calls at random asking me about Z Cars.
Yes, I used to be a big Z Car guy, I have owned several of them, but I no longer have any, nor do I participate in Z Car culture like I used to.
Some wise guys down the street from Mark's shop in OC have me listed on their website (with my home phone number) as a Z Car Specialist and club owner. Despite having called them several times and telling them that I don't have any affiliation with the whole Z Car thing anymore, they have yet to remove me from the website. So, every few days or weeks, I get a random call asking if I want to buy a Z car, or asking how much they should ask for their Z car, or if the Z Car they want to buy is a good deal, or what it means when their Z car makes a funny sound...
It's become annoying.
The only reason they had my info to give (which I didn't authorize), was because back in 2006, my local Z Car buddies and I wanted to all park together at the annual Z Car Nationals Car Show in Orange County. The only way we could do that, was to be part of a "Club", so we made one up and I posted a stupid free website to legitimize it.
