How did I get here?
Ya know, I haven't been as harsh on the L6 Spiders as some, and I even had a Spider IV 75 that wasn't all that bad...given that, and even with the understanding that the new V versions do not have any different or better amp modelling than the Amplifi series, I wanted to like the new series. After spending about an hour in total of trying out the Spider V 60 at two different locations, I can honestly say that the Spider V tones SUCK BALLS to the point that I agree with the review that the tones are actually WORSE than previous Spiders.
The new Boss Katana amps are so far-and-away better-sounding than the current similarly-(or higher-) priced L6 amps that there is absolutely no contest.
