SpaceX successfully launches rocket, deploys 11 satellites and lands the first stage

ORBCOMM is a company that offers M2M communications solutions designed to track, monitor, and control fixed and mobile assets in markets including transportation, heavy equipment, maritime, oil and gas, utilities and government.
 
Congrats to Space-X and godspeed.

A hell of a lot of work went into this, and it is a historic day in space flight.

 
Happy for SpaceX. Not happy for NASA, who’s every request for funding will be met with “the private sector can do this now” because the private sector can finally pull off stuff NASA could have done in the 1970s.

It is what it is, and it is up to NASA to adapt. My hopes is that increased public awareness and interest will at some point lead to more funding for NASA. I work in the private aerospace industry, and know for a fact we have a long way to go to eclipse the NASA braintrust.
