So - what was the last album you bought...

Denverdave

Resident Ragamuffin
Whether it be CD, digital download, used 8 track, vinyl. What was it?

After seeing all the hoopla for this and already knowing I would like it I finally pulled the trigger and got this via digital download (my preferred method now).

Steven Wilson - Hand Cannot Erase

Just brilliant.

Although digital download is now also my preferred format, my most recent were these:

Ella on CD - just an amazing album (sounds much better than the cover design looks, heh heh):

Some primal Dead on vinyl - 11-10-67:

I buy probably 4-5 albums a month.

My last digital download was a few days ago. It was Hot Club Sandwich w/ Dan Hicks. I had never heard of these guys until the thread about Mr. Hicks passing away. It's some great gypsy jazz-y stuff with an Americana twist.

My last physical album (record) was De Staat's O. I had to order it from the Netherlands, but it's really good.

I bought Blackstar, Carly Rae Jepsen's Emotion, and the Stones London Years singles comp. All recently, but I can't recall which one was last.

I tend to buy a cluster when I kill my monthly eMusic balance. So, it was a the following albums on February 1:

Apparently we can't post nine album cover images without going over the 10,000 character limit for posts. That's annoying. So...

- Bikini Kill - Pussy Whipped
- Big Big Train - Wassail
- Mason Ruffner - Gypsy Blood
- Michael Gibbs & the NDR Big Band - Play a Bill Frisell Set
- Erick Macek - Colors May Change
- Rain Perry - Cinderblock Bookshelves
- Nevermen - Nevermen (Mike Patton's latest project)
- Aoife O'Donovan - In the Magic Hour

I also grabbed this from Amazon:

Greg Koch & Malford Milligan

...and three bonus tracks from the Toy Matinee album.

I also downloaded a ton so stuff from Amazon Prime music, but haven't officially bought it yet. Bowie's Blackstar was among those, but that was the morning it was released. Great album that, but I think I like The Next Day more overall.

Reminds me of the time I bought 34 King Crimson albums on Amazon with my grandma's Christmas money.
