So, I'm recording a song . . .

It's not what i call done. As a noob, I'd really like some recording/mixing advice. I'm stumbling around blind.

 
Thanks dude. I think I need to work on being less sloppy, although it seems this is the best i can muster. :embarrassed:
 
Yeah, less gain is always smart.
In the studio, you almost always need less gain than you think.

One thing I like doing is DI-ing while recording and then using Guitar Rig to augment the mic'ed sound. Works well. :)
