So I got up with an old friend a few weeks ago......

Coralkong

Alien
We used to room together in West Chester, PA.
He was a killer bass player, even back then (late '80's, early '90's).

I haven't spoken to him in probably 15 years.

Anyway, he lives in the Oakland area and told me he put out an album last year.

Check it out......it's all jazz (still waiting for him to send me a copy!), but in any event, his name is Scott Arnold, and his album is called "45". I've only heard a few songs, but it is some pretty funky stuff. He really is an excellent bass player.

Very well done (especially the first number).

Yeah, I just shot him off an email.
He said he was gonna mail me a copy, but it hasn't shown up yet.

I used to hear him jam all the time (hell, we were roommates), and even back then, boy....he could lay it down.

Me? I sucked. Still suck, lol.

I'm happy for him.
We used to get all kinds of fucked up together.
Good times, good times.

I know he said he recorded "45" in some famous studio where all kinds of people (U2 was one he mentioned) recorded. Of course, his sessions were scheduled at like 3 in the morning.......wait, I wonder if that is why it is called "3 am"? Huh, I'll have to ask him about that....

Don't they know that jazz leads to smoking marijuana cigarettes?

And next thing you know, you're worshipping Satan.

(At least, that's why my parents thought about me playing guitar at all........you know, natural progression....)

It's the Debil's music!

I like it! I have a similar story. Roommate went to LA with rock band and made a few albums. Came back a few years later and cut a Brazilian jazz album and wrote all the tunes. Wtf!
