We have all seen the craigslist ads from people who very clearly have no knowledge of the musical instruments they are selling. I think we should compile a list of tells that suggest a seller is clueless.

Two to get thing started from today's CL listings....

1. Listing an acoustic guitar as an ACOUSTICAL guitar.
2. Describing a guitar by overall length, eg, acoustical guitar 37 inches long.

Hehe I've asked my parents to sell some of my stuff I left behind in the Netherlands, must have been great fun if people came over to their place to test and buy

- Has one broken string
- Just professionally set up (when applied to TOM bridge guitars)
- Gibson Epiphone
- Gibson Maestro
- Will not sell guitar without amp (amp is a Spider)

Don't know if this guy knows anything about guitars or not, but he knows nothing about selling them. These guitars have been posted on craigslist for YEARS now. Easily more than 5 years. Probably closer to 10 at this point.

I probably wouldn't buy anything from that guy either. According to Google maps he lives in the middle of a lake.
