Sharpie Strat, hot or not?

I remember getting a crazy deal several years ago on a Squier FSR Strat that was white and came with a set of Sharpies to decorate it. I never really considered actually drawing on it, because I knew it would look like poo if I did it, but I kind of liked the idea.

Looks great, but Sharpie ink fades away pretty quickly if exposed to light. And I'm not convinced that clear-coating it does anything more than prevent it from smearing.

If I had played when my children were little I would have bought them the sharpies to do that! Love it! Hell, I may but some now and have my now adult children do it on my Behringer.
