It's just you.

I don't like many of their over-the-top metal guitars, but this one is more restrained stylistically, and I'll bet those pickups scream...
 
I don't like the weird shaped guitars schecter does for the metal people. I like their strats and teles and other conventional looking stuff, especially their US line up.

I almost bought a schecter strat in the 90's from their US custom shop. I was a poor grad student and couldn't afford the price of admission. That guitar still haunts me as it was incredible and I feel like I really missed out. It looked like this....

I thought I would be interested when I first saw those, but they have narrow neck widths at the nut, and I would like something wider.

Schecter makes a lot of good stuff, but with each model there is always that one little x-variable that keeps me away.

I tend to agree with you on that...the nut on that thing feels narrower than 1 5/8", and most of my guitars are 1 11/16"...it's the ultra narrow nut that's been keeping me from buying it...
